Original KB number: 3007307

For

I'm a recent convert to Mac from Windows 10. I'm using Outlook for Mac version 16.34 that is connected to my employer's Office 365. My main issue is that all options under the Tools menu are greyed out with the exceptions being Sync and Accounts. I've deleted my Outlook mailbox and re-added with no change. Teams desktop app working OK and add-in for outlook installed and enabled, however, can't set meeting in outlook calendar as Teams meeting icon on the ribbon is greyed out. Have uninstalled / reinstalled teams app with no effect.

New

Use this tool if you want Outlook to open a new email message when you click a mailto: link in an email message or on a website. Selecting a mailto: link opens the default email application. Outlook isn't the default email application until you change that setting. If your account is configured for dial-in conferencing, the online meeting request will automatically include the phone number and conference ID. If you're using Skype for Business Online, you can set up new meetings using the Skype for Business Web Scheduler. To schedule an online meeting in Outlook for Mac, switch to Calendar view.

Symptoms

When you open your Calendar in Microsoft Outlook 2016 for Mac, the Open Shared Calendar button on the ribbon is unavailable.
