Kendall Charcoal And Revere Pewter

Feb 08, 2018 I was getting a gallon of Revere Pewter (the safe choice to go with my hideous countertops I can’t afford to replace yet) and wanted a deep dark gray for an accent wall in the living room. A paint store associate talked me out of Kendall Charcoal and into Chelsea Gray which to me is a boring gun metal so I stopped painting. Revere Pewter; Kendall Charcoal; Because of the versatility of this color, you can pair it with many different colors to create your very own color palette. You could paint the walls with this greige color and a White Dove trim to make your room look fantastic! You can also opt for a more bold color to pair it with like Hale Navy or Kendall.

I wanted to share a recent design win. These are rare and thus I believe should be celebrated. I’ve discovered a new (to me) Benjamin Moore paint color that I love. Kendall Charcoal. It’s dark green grey and appears to go with everything. Therefore, I’m qualifying it as a neutral. It’s so nice to be able to add color into a room without feeling overwhelming.

  • Wood Accents Highlight the Warm Undertones. If your home has wood accents, those.
  • Kendall Charcoal makes a good base color, but that’s not all it can do. We love painting shutters this color on off-white homes because the charcoal doesn’t read as harsh as black paint options. One of our favorite color schemes is Light Pewter, Simply White, and Kendall Charcoal by Benjamin Moore.

I LOVE color but I have noticed that anytime I photograph something colorful in my house something feels off about it. I’m a firm believer that if it doesn’t look good in a photograph it’s because it doesn’t look good in reality. Often, I will take a step back, look at a room and think, “Okay, this looks nice.” Then I take a photograph, look at it 2 hours later and think, “Oh dear God, what have I done?! This is hideous!” Strange really. I do not trust my eyes as far as I can throw them. And I’m not about to gouge my eyes out and throw them if you know what I’m saying. Anyways, back to Kendall Charcoal.

Here are some of my original inspiration pictures that convinced me to go buy a quart and paint some shit.

Does it not go with everything? It looks good on walls, doors, cabinets. You name it, Kendall Charcoal makes it look good!!

So far I’ve only used it on accent pieces but I’m getting that feeling inside my bones that makes me want to paint a room!!!

Hope you enjoyed today’s post. Thanks for reading.
